How do you want to vote?

The City of Quinte West wants to hear from you on what voting method(s) you want for your community in the next municipal election. Your input will help Quinte West Council choose what voting methods are used for the 2026 municipal and school board elections.

Voting options

Different voting methods are used in municipal elections across Ontario. The following options are being considered for the 2026 election in Quinte West:

In-person/paper ballot voting: Visit a polling station and complete a paper ballot during advanced voting periods or on election day

Online voting: Cast your vote online from anywhere during advanced voting days or on election day

Telephone/dial-in voting: Dial in to cast your vote from your home phone or mobile device during advanced voting days or on election day

Vote by mail: Complete the paper ballot you receive in the mail and return it to the City of Quinte West

Have your say

Let Quinte West Council know how you want to vote! There are many ways for you to get involved and let us know about your preferred voting method(s). From March 3 to March 23, 2025:

  • Complete the survey below

  • Call 613-392-2841 and follow the automated prompts

  • Visit Quinte West City Hall or the Frankford Municipal Office to cast your ballot

  • Visit Quinte West FamilyFest on March 9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Batawa Community Centre

  • Email clerk@quintewest.ca

Your feedback will be used to recommend the 2026 voting methods to Quinte West Council at a Special Council meeting on April 9, 2025. Attend the meeting in person or watch online to learn more and stay up to date.
