Engineering Standards Update

The City of Quinte West’s engineering standards provide guidance for the design and construction of municipal infrastructure.

It is the responsibility of developers/consultants to review and apply the latest version of the City’s engineering standards to ensure all design and construction activities of proposed developments comply with current specifications.

About updates to the City’s engineering standards

The City’s current engineering standards were developed in 2012, and are being updated to ensure our infrastructure is safe, modern and built to last. As technology, regulations and best practices evolve, these updates help us:

• Improve public safety

• Support sustainable and resilient design

• Provide clear direction for developers and builders

By keeping our standards current, we can deliver reliable infrastructure that meets the needs of our community, now and into the future.
