The City of Quinte West is building a trail that will connect Centennial Park to Bain Park.
About the new trail
A new 3-metre, multi-use paved trail will be installed connecting Centennial Park to Bain Park along the Bay of Quinte.This new section of trail will connect to the existing paved pathway in Centennial Park and feature benches, gardens, trees and trailhead areas along the route.
This new trail will provide increased active transportation opportunities and another way to enjoy Quinte West's waterfront.
This project is being funded in part by the Government of Canada's Active Transportation Fund.
The existing Centennial Park trail remains open.
Timeline
Phase one: September 2025 to summer 2026 A new section of trail will be built from Centennial Park to City owned property along the waterfront, as shown below. Phase two: Spring 2026 The remaining section of the trail connecting phase one to Bain Park will be built.
