The City of Quinte West is building a trail that will connect Centennial Park to Bain Park.

About the new trail

A new, multi-use paved trail will be installed connecting Centennial Park to Bain Park along the Bay of Quinte. This new section of trail will connect to the existing paved pathway in Centennial Park and feature:

  • A 1.7-kilometre multi-use asphalt pathway with: solar lighting, seating areas, accessible picnic tables, bike racks and a repair station, fitness equipment, a gazebo, benches, gardens and trailhead areas
  • Over 100 new trees planted along the route, adding shade, natural beauty and environmental benefits
  • Increased active transportation opportunities and another way to enjoy Quinte West's waterfront
  • A safer and more enjoyable alternative to travel between the city's two largest parks

This project is being funded in part by the Government of Canada's Active Transportation Fund.

The existing Centennial Park trail remains open.
