Help shape the future of land use planning in Quinte West

The City of Quinte West is undertaking a Comprehensive Zoning By-law Review to modernize the municipality's zoning regulations and ensure the City continues to support the community's long-term vision for growth and development.

The zoning by-law is one of the City's primary land use planning tools. It establishes where different land uses are permitted and regulates how land can be developed, including standards such as building setbacks, lot sizes, building heights, parking requirements, landscaping, and permitted uses.

The current review will:

• Implement the policies of the Quinte West Official Plan
• Reflect recent changes to provincial legislation and planning policy
• Respond to emerging planning issues and development trends
• Improve the organization and usability of the Zoning By-law
• Help ensure the Zoning By-law continues to support sustainable and well-planned growth across the municipality
