More than a teacher

I am a mom to 5 kids, during their education we have had many teachers. But to this day one has stood out above them all. I appreciate the hard work all teachers do for their students but my hero goes above and beyond all expectations.

Wendy Donovan is a grade 2/3 teacher at VP Carswell Elementary School. She has previously taught 3 of my girls and is currently my son's grade 3 teacher.

When the school was closed down following March break she is was constant contact checking on how everyone was doing. Before the official work from home program began, she printed from home, work packages for all her students and delivered them door to door. And once she had access to the school again she gathered all their stuff from their desks and delivered them door to door, this way every student had what they needed to keep learning. This is just the most current example of why she is so amazing.

Every year during the Christmas Break she mails all her students personal letters and does the same during the summer holidays. .

Every student who has the opportunity to have Ms Donovan as a teacher is going to reach their potential, she doesn't let any child get left behind.

In our house we all love Ms Donovan and always will. That's why she is our hero!! ❤️
