The City of Quinte West is seeking public input on an exciting new project to redevelop the historic Town Hall - 1861 building, located at 55 King St, into a small cultural centre.
One of the goals of the City's new Strategic Plan is to create a vibrant and healthy community through recreation, events, arts and culture. Finding opportunities to develop municipal assets to support cultural events was identified as a way to action this goal.
The City has retained RAWDesign Architects to undertake a space analysis of the Trenton Town Hall, with the goal of maximizing the scope and functionality of the building for a range of public exhibits and cultural activities. This includes both the internal functions of the building as well as its external appearance and uses.
The consultant will provide the City with recommendations that may be implemented in a phased in approach, based on identified priorities and the availability of funding.
Whether you're an artist, history buff or local resident, we're interested in how a place like this could benefit you and the community.
The City is inviting the community to provide their feedback by completing the survey below before November 21, 2021.
