    I would like to nominate Sgt. Darin Lampman of 47 Loraine Court for his fantastic display of Christmas lights and music for the community in December. Darin had spent months designing the Christmas display with synchronized music! Hundreds of cars drove into our little court to watch the display and listen to the accompanying music on their car radios. Not only did he give months of his own time and finances to bring joy and happiness to many during a COVID-19 Christmas, he accepted donations for the Make A Wish Foundation! He truly is a Community Hero!

    When the pandemic first started we were all scared, trying our best to get through with the PPE we could get while continuing to work . The make noise crew went out everyday to let us know we were appreciated and that they had our backs. They valued us. On those dark days when we felt alone tired and scared they lifted our spirits. Now one of the members has partnered with McKesson and continues to show their support for the frontline workers.

    This combined group of community members did so much during the covid months and have continued to show their dedication and support for QW. They showed support and caring, went above and beyond for others through various avenues. They showed up and worked hard to keep us strong and engaged with all their regular involvement that was captured through FB. It was great to see all this support for others by this group!

    These people worked hard all through the first wave to help with making masks and raising funds to help out the frontline workers, our Legion and many of the seniors in need. They did all of this work out of the good;Ed’s of their own hearts and sense of community. They are angels in our town and deserve all the recognition we can give them. They are all amazing people helping people! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

    These two groups involved many heroes to many frontliners and to the public as a whole. The "sewists" spent their valuable hours making thousands of masks for frontliners and the public to keep them safe from Covid 19. They stepped up and did this and never asked or expected anything in return. This group of "sewists" worked closely with the "Farley Cres make noise group". This group made noise for 125 consecutive days to support frontline healthcare workers. Rain or shine they were faithfully out there making noise.     I have known John McDonald since he arrived in Quinte West.


    He did not quietly enter the community, he kicked the door in on it.

    The Director of Operations for the Trenton Golden Hawks (which he does not get paid to do) has worked incredibly hard to not just bring a winning culture of hockey to the local junior hockey team, but also the Quinte region.
